KTR safety net saves pool from closure

After a risk assessment carried out by the Institute of Sport and Recreation Management earlier this year, a seaside paddling pool in Nairn was saved from closure by the installation of a KTR safety net for use when it is closed.

British company, KTR Aqua-Net, a division of KTR Environmental Solutions Ltd, installed the Aqua-Net Tensioned Safety Net within a week of an urgent request to do so.

The Aqua-Net system, developed over 30 years ago, is now available throughout the UK, Spain and France and is ideal for swimming pool applications, especially during closing times and periods when the facility is under maintenance.

The lightweight net system allows the pool bottom to be seen at all times, restrains entry right to the waters edge and features low profile fixings.

Additionally, Aqua-Net can be installed on fish ponds, pools with rock features, spa baths, water features and both domestic and industrial water hazards. It can also be combined with most existing winter debris covers.

The company has personal control over the entire manufacturing process – from extrusion to braiding to net making and final installation, each net being custom fitted.
